darktable-dbg software package provides virtual lighttable and darkroom for photographers (debug), you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install darktable-dbg
darktable-dbg is installed in your system.
Make ensure the darktable-dbg package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep darktable-dbg *
You will get with darktable-dbg package name, version, architecture and description in a table
